1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, browsing, or using Apu's Closet, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy and EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Our role as a marketplace

Apu's Closet is a peer to peer marketplace. We provide tools to list, share, and request items, but we are not a party to any transaction between members. We do not own, inspect, store, or transport items, and we do not guarantee item quality, authenticity, fit, or condition.

Members are solely responsible for their listings, communications, agreements, and in person exchanges. You use the service at your own risk.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Apu's Closet.

• Provide accurate account and profile information.
• Keep your login credentials secure and notify us of unauthorized use.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account.

4. Listings, closets, and sharing

You represent that you own or control the items you list and have the right to share them. You are responsible for describing items honestly, including condition, size, and any defects.

You control who can view or borrow your closet. Sharing a link does not create any obligation to lend unless you approve a request.

5. Borrowing, returns, and disputes

Borrowing is a direct agreement between members. Members set terms such as due dates, delivery method, and condition expectations. We do not guarantee returns.

Apu's Closet is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or late items. Members are responsible for resolving disputes, replacements, and reimbursements.

6. Fees and taxes

We may introduce optional paid features or fees in the future. If we do, we will provide notice and update these terms. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your activities.

7. Prohibited items and conduct

You agree to follow our Prohibited Items and Community Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

8. User content and licenses

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, and content you post. You grant Apu's Closet a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote the service. This includes using public or shared content in marketing, subject to your privacy settings.

You represent that you have all rights needed to grant this license.

9. Communications and marketing

We may send you service notifications and marketing messages. You can opt out of marketing at any time through email preferences or by contacting support.

10. Safety and risk

Use common sense when meeting other members. Review our Safety Tips and do not share sensitive personal information. We are not responsible for offline interactions.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time if we believe these terms are violated, if required by law, or to protect the community. You may stop using the service at any time.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Apu's Closet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of property, profits, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use the service in the past 12 months.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Apu's Closet harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, listings, transactions, or violations of these terms.
